Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Sticko collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers the Sticko app for Android and iPhone and the website at sticko.app.

Sticko is made by HQ Infosystem, 425, Silver Stone Arcade, Beside DMart, Singanpore, Surat 395004, Gujarat, India. In this policy, "Sticko", "we" and "us" mean HQ Infosystem. If you have a question at any time, email us at support@sticko.app.

1. Information we collect

Your account

You can browse sticko.app without an account. When you create an account in the app, you sign in with Google, Apple, Facebook, or an email address and password. We collect:

  • your email address;
  • your name and profile photo, if the sign-in service shares them with us or you add them yourself;
  • your Sticko username.

If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email address, we only receive the private relay address that Apple gives us. We never receive your Google, Apple or Facebook password.

Content you upload

When you make a sticker pack, we store the pack name, the images and GIFs you put in it, and its tags. We also store your activity on Sticko, such as the accounts you follow and the packs you upload.

Device and usage information

When you use the app, we and our partners collect some information automatically:

  • your device's advertising ID (the IDFA on iPhone, the Advertising ID on Android), if you allow it;
  • your device model, operating system, app version, language and approximate country, worked out from your IP address;
  • how you use the app, such as screens you open, packs you view or add to WhatsApp, and the ads you see and tap;
  • crash reports and performance data when something goes wrong.

Sticko does not access your contacts, messages, microphone, calendar or precise location.

Purchases

The only thing you can buy in Sticko is ad removal, a subscription billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store handles the payment. We only learn whether your subscription is active. We never see your card or payment details.

2. How we use your information

  • To run your account and show your packs and public profile.
  • To let you search, browse and add sticker packs to WhatsApp.
  • To show ads, and to stop showing them if you pay for ad removal.
  • To understand how Sticko is used and fix crashes and bugs.
  • To keep Sticko safe, find spam and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Use and Content Policy.
  • To answer you when you contact us.
  • To follow the law and respond to valid legal requests.

3. What other people can see

Sticko is a public sticker library. The packs you upload, their names and stickers, your username and your profile photo can be seen by anyone, in the app and on sticko.app, including on your public profile page. Search engines can show them too. Anyone can add a public pack to their own WhatsApp. Your email address is never shown to other people.

4. Advertising

Sticko is free because it shows ads. The app uses these ad networks:

These networks receive your advertising ID, IP address, device information and how you interact with ads. They use it to choose which ads to show you, to measure ads and to prevent ad fraud. Each network handles this information under its own privacy policy, linked above.

Your choices:

  • iPhone: Sticko asks your permission before your advertising ID can be used to track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you tap Ask App Not to Track, your advertising ID is not shared. You can change this at any time in Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking.
  • Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings, Google, Ads (on some phones, Settings, Privacy, Ads).
  • European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland: the app shows Google's consent form before personalised ads are used.

If you say no to tracking or personalised ads, you still see ads, but they are less related to your interests. Paying for ad removal stops ads in the app.

5. Analytics and crash reports

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how people use the app, and Firebase Crashlytics to find out when and why the app crashes. Both are Google services. They receive device information, an app instance ID, usage events and crash logs. Firebase privacy and security

6. GIF search: GIPHY and KLIPY

When you search for GIFs in the app, your search words are sent to GIPHY or KLIPY, which return the results and serve the GIFs. They also receive your IP address and basic device information. Their own privacy policies apply: GIPHY Privacy Policy and KLIPY Privacy Policy.

7. Signing in with Google, Apple or Facebook

If you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, that company tells us who you are and shares the details listed in section 1. Your use of their sign-in is covered by their own privacy policies: Google, Apple and Meta.

8. The sticko.app website

You do not need an account to browse sticko.app. The website shows ads from Google AdSense and measures visits with Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager. These services use cookies and similar technologies. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland see Google's consent message first. Our Cookie Policy explains cookies and how to control them, and Google explains how it uses cookies in advertising.

9. Who we share information with

We share information only in these cases:

  • with the ad, analytics, GIF and sign-in partners named above, for the reasons given;
  • with companies that host and run Sticko for us, which may only use it to provide that service;
  • when the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our users, the public or Sticko;
  • with a buyer or successor if Sticko is ever sold or merged, under the same promises made in this policy.

We do not sell your name, email address or the content of your account to anyone.

10. Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your account and your packs for as long as your account exists.

You can delete your account at any time in the Sticko app: tap the Profile icon, tap the Settings icon, then tap Delete Account and confirm. You can also email support@sticko.app from the address you use to sign in. When you delete your account, your account, your public profile and every sticker pack you uploaded are removed from the Sticko app and from sticko.app straight away, and you are logged out on every device. Deleting your account cannot be undone. Our Delete Your Sticko Account page has the full steps.

Deleting your account does not cancel an ad removal subscription. Cancel it in Google Play or the App Store first. Copies of a pack that other people already added to their own WhatsApp stay on their phones, and we cannot remove them.

11. Children

Sticko is for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before you use Sticko. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email support@sticko.app and we will delete it.

12. Your choices and rights

  • You can delete your account at any time, as described in section 10.
  • You can control ad tracking as described in section 4.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it, by emailing support@sticko.app. We may ask you to prove the account is yours first.

Depending on where you live, the law may give you more rights over your information. Email us and we will help.

13. Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections and limited access. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it to yourself.

14. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date shown on this page. If a change matters to how we use your information, we will also tell you in the app.
