Quick answer
Not directly — a WhatsApp sticker pack installs only into WhatsApp. The stickers themselves are ordinary WebP images, though, so you can reuse them: Telegram imports sticker sets from sticker apps that support it, iPhone's Messages app can turn a saved image into a sticker with New Sticker, and Instagram can add one to a story as an image. Animated stickers usually need converting first.
Why a pack only works in WhatsApp
Adding a pack is a handshake between a sticker app and WhatsApp: the app hands WhatsApp a set of 512 × 512 WebP files plus a tray icon, and WhatsApp registers them in its own tray. Telegram, iMessage and Instagram each have their own sticker systems and formats, so that handshake does not exist for them. What you can move is the individual image.
Telegram
Telegram has an official way for sticker apps to import a whole set into Telegram, and some sticker apps offer it next to their WhatsApp button. Without it, you can build a Telegram set yourself: Telegram's static stickers are PNG or WebP files with one side exactly 512 px, so WhatsApp's 512 × 512 WebP stickers already fit.
Animated stickers are the exception. Telegram's animated stickers use its own Lottie-based TGS format or WEBM video, each capped at 3 s, while WhatsApp's are animated WebP of up to 10 seconds, so they have to be converted rather than copied.
iMessage on iPhone
- In WhatsApp, send the stickers you want to a chat with yourself or a private group.
- Open the chat's info, choose Export Chat, and include media.
- In the Files app, unzip the export, select the sticker files, and use Quick Actions › Convert Image to save them as PNG.
- Save the PNGs to Photos.
- In a Messages chat, tap +, then Stickers, then New Sticker, and pick the image.
This works for static stickers. Animated ones lose their motion unless you convert them with a dedicated tool first.
Instagram has no way to import a sticker pack. You can still use a single sticker as an image: on Android, find it in the WhatsApp Stickers folder (see where WhatsApp stickers are stored); on iPhone, convert it as above. Then add it to a story or post from your gallery like any other picture.
Whatever the app, the stickers still belong to whoever made them. Reusing them in your own chats and stories is the normal use; republishing someone else's pack as your own is not.
Often simpler: find the same stickers where you need them
Converting files one by one is worth it for a sticker you made yourself or one you cannot find anywhere else. For popular themes it is usually quicker to look for the same artwork published natively for the other app: many sticker creators release a set for both WhatsApp and Telegram, and Messages on iPhone has its own sticker apps in the App Store.
Going the other way works too. If a friend sends you a sticker on WhatsApp that you want to keep, add it to your favourites in WhatsApp first: favourites stay in your tray even after the chat is cleared, so you can export or convert the sticker later without hunting for the original message.
Find packs by theme: #love, #memes, #funny, all hashtags.
Get the Sticko app
WhatsApp only accepts sticker packs from an installed app, so the last step always happens outside the browser. Sticko is free on Android and iPhone, and adds any pack to WhatsApp in a couple of taps.
