How to Add Stickers to WhatsApp
WhatsApp cannot install sticker packs directly from a website — Android and iOS both require the import to come from an installed app. Open the pack in a sticker app such as Sticko, tap Add to WhatsApp, and confirm the dialog. The pack then appears in WhatsApp under the emoji icon → Stickers → My Stickers.
WhatsApp Sticker Size and Format Requirements
WhatsApp stickers must be exactly 512 × 512 pixels in WebP format. A static sticker must be 100 KB or smaller; an animated sticker must be 500 KB or smaller and run for 10 seconds or less. Every pack needs a 96 × 96 pixel tray icon under 50 KB and must contain between 3 and 30 stickers.

To make a WhatsApp sticker, cut your subject out of its background, resize the result to exactly 512 × 512 pixels, and export it as a WebP with transparency at 100 KB or less. Group at least 3 stickers into a pack, add a 96 × 96 tray icon, and import the pack through a sticker app.
Animated WhatsApp Stickers: How They Work
Animated WhatsApp stickers are animated WebP files, 512 × 512 pixels, up to 500 KB, running 10 seconds or less with frames of at least 8 ms. They loop while the recipient previews them and stop on the first frame afterwards, so the first frame should be a complete image rather than a blank opening.
WhatsApp Stickers on iPhone
On iPhone, WhatsApp stickers live behind the sticker icon in the row above the keyboard, not inside the emoji panel as on Android. Packs are added from an installed sticker app rather than from Safari, because iOS gives the WhatsApp import handshake to apps only. Added packs appear under My Stickers.
WhatsApp Stickers Not Working: Causes and Fixes
Most WhatsApp sticker problems come from one of three causes: an out-of-date WhatsApp, a sticker tray that has not been rebuilt since the import, or a pack that breaks WhatsApp's format rules. Updating WhatsApp and force-closing it resolves the majority; format problems have to be fixed by the pack's publisher.
How to Choose a WhatsApp Sticker Pack
The sticker packs people keep are the ones that read clearly at chat size and cover reactions they send often. Favour packs of 15–30 stickers with bold, simple artwork, keep two or three animated packs at most, and treat download counts as a popularity signal rather than a quality rating.
